What is Reciprocating Grate Boiler?
Reciprocating Grate Boiler is a kind of biomass boiler, which is suitable for burning biomass fuel like wood dust, straw, bagasse, palm husk, palm fiber, rice husk, etc. In March 2018, customer from an energy company in Ukraine visited our factory to negotiate on biomass power plant boiler. Most importantly, the power plant generating capacity is 10MWe. After detailed calculation, we plan to supply one reciprocating grate boiler with capacity of 50t/h, steam pressure of 4.5MPa and steam temperature of 465 Deg. C.
After communication with the customer, at present the power supply in Ukraine is in short supply. To solve the tense situation, Ukraine Government encourages private enterprises to develop biomass power plant. Since the moisture of biomass fuel is high, ignition of front arch and combustion-supporting air ensures timely ignition. Besides, reciprocating grate boiler ceaseless movement can effectively avoid slagging. Slow movement of reciprocating grate makes the fuel gradually move backward, thus increasing the stay time of the fuel in the furnace.
The customer visited our industrial boiler production workshop and warehouse. And they were satisfied with our manufacturing ability and competence level. After the visit, the customers showed much interest in our reciprocating grate boiler power plant solution. Therefore, they held technical negotiations with our technicians. And the theme focuses on reciprocating grate boiler, biomass fuel burning, ash and slag treatment. Afterwards, we made detailed technical proposal and commercial proposal for the customer. This project is expected to be launched in the latter half of the year.
