Coal fired thermal oil boiler is the most common organic heat carrier boiler, another name is organic fluid boiler. Thermal oil boiler and steam boiler manufacturers Taishan Group won a coal fired thermal oil boiler project in Indonesia in May, 2018. And the thermal oil boiler model is YLW-5900MA, capacity is 5,000,000kcal/h.

People from all over the world call the heating system totally with such different names as thermal oil heater, thermal oil system, thermal oil boiler, thermal fluid heater, thermal fluid system, thermal fluid boiler, thermic fluid heater, hot oil heater, hot oil system, and hot oil boiler. However, all these names refer to the same kind of closed loop liquid phase heat transfer system.

Generally, water and steam are good thermal carriers and are widely used in a lot of indirect heating systems. However, at very high temperature, water and steam require higher operating pressure. While using thermal oil to replace water and steam, high operating temperature can more easily be achieved at significantly lower operating pressure. Therefore thermal fluid heater utilizes specially designed thermal fluid or heat transfer oil that operates with coal, biomass, gas or oil fired heater.

Unlike hot water boiler or steam boiler, this heating process does not need high pressure. Since this thermal oil operates at almost atmospheric pressures but can reach over 300Deg. C. So the thermal oil or fluid is recirculated within the piping. A coal fired thermal oil boiler fires through a helical coil and generates energy from the coal combustion by heating the coil through radiation and convection. The coil heats thermal oil in the coal fired thermal oil boiler. Therefore the thermal oil heats coils in various kinds of heat exchangers.
